Forklift Brake Drums

In the braking process, hydraulic pressure pushes the brake tile to contact the inner edge of the brake drum, and inhibits the rotation of the tire through the friction generated by contact, so as to achieve the purpose of braking.

The drum brake is composed of brake bottom plate, brake cylinder, brake tile and other related connecting rods, springs, pointed nails and brake drums. The working principle of the brake drum is the principle of inhaling air when the engine is working, resulting in a pressure difference between the vacuum pressure on one side of the booster and the normal air pressure on the other side, and this pressure difference is used to strengthen the braking thrust. Simply put, it is to use vacuum (negative pressure) to increase the force exerted by the driver on the pedal. The vacuum booster is usually located between the brake pedal and the brake master pump. For easy installation, it is often combined with the master pump as a component, and part of the master pump penetrates into the housing of the vacuum booster.
