Gearbox Brass Synchro Ring

The synchronizer in the gearbox can not only synchronize the speed of gears between adjacent gears, thus reducing the impact between gears, prolonging the service life of the gearbox and the transmission mechanism, but also improving the shift smoothness and driving comfort of the car.

The synchronizer includes the joint sleeve, the synchronous lock ring and the gear ring to be joined. These parts have chamfers (locking angle), and the inner conical surface of the synchronous locking ring is in contact with the outer conical surface of the gear ring to be joined, resulting in friction. This design enables the tooth sleeve to be meshed to be quickly synchronized with the gear ring, and at the same time it will produce a locking effect to prevent the gear from meshing before synchronization.

When the inner conical surface of the synchronous locking ring is in contact with the outer conical surface of the gear ring to be joined, under the action of friction torque, the gear speed is rapidly reduced (or increased) to the same as the synchronous locking ring, and the two rotate synchronously. At this time, the rotation speed of the gear relative to the synchronous lock ring is zero, so the inertial torque also disappears at the same time. Driven by the force, the joint sleeve is unimpeded and engages with the synchronous locking ring gear ring, and further joins with the gear ring to be joined to complete the shift process.
